This role is focused on mastering product areas, promoting sales, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. The Manager in Training will assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence and guide staff across departments to meet store goals, with a strong emphasis on service and merchandising

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and keep up with goals.
• Self-starter, takes initiative.
• Strong attention to detail with multi-tasking.
• Team-player with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provides knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Keeps the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Promotes and sells services and merchandise; ensures extraordinary customer service.
• Protects the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls and reporting potential fraud risk.
