Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Manager in Training to support Store Manager in daily operations and customer experience. This role requires knowledge of multiple product areas and a strong service mindset to promote sales and promotions.

The candidate will assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager's absence and help drive profitability across departments while upholding all company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks without prompting.
• Strong attention to detail with multi-tasking ability.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and operational tasks.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Act as acting Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per the service manual and assist customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures across manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information by enforcing internal controls and reporting fraud risk.
