Dollar Tree is seeking a Store Manager in Training for our Woodside, NY area. You will participate in on-the-job training to learn how to manage store operations, with focus on merchandising, placement, and inviting store signage.

The role emphasizes recruiting and developing associates, maintaining high customer service, and compliance with all laws and policies. This program includes potential quarterly bonuses and opportunities for growth within the Dollar Tree family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and perform related physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
