The Manager in Training is prepared to assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager’s absence and promote promotions and sales. A fast-paced environment with focus on accuracy and customer experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for departmental duties such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Step in as store lead in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver excellent customer service as outlined in manuals and policies.
• Support in selling services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures across operations.
