Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Manager in Training in a full-time, hourly role. You will assist the Store Manager with store operations, sales initiatives, merchandising, and staff guidance to deliver a strong customer experience.

You will temporarily lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence and promote merchandise while upholding company standards and policies across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service during peak periods and entry process.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold policies and standards per manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information; report fraud risk.
