Job summary

The Shops on El Paseo in Palm Desert, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in driving sales, operations, asset protection, and human resources to deliver a great customer experience and maximum profitability. • Able to travel to stores throughout the district

• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
• Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 50 pounds) and stand/walk for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage and payroll accuracy.
• Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers; responds to inquiries professionally.
• Supervises sales, inventory receipt, and customer service activities.
• Models product knowledge and guides merchandise selections based on customer needs.
• Maintains a visually appealing store with proper housekeeping and merchandising.
• Trains associates on visual merchandising techniques.
• Monitors sales and productivity; coaches performance and development.
• Handles cash, price changes, and merchandise movements in compliance with policy.
• Manages inventory receipts, distribution, and physical inventories.
• Ensures store operations are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
• Supports recruiting and development of store staff; communicates KPI results
