What you'll be doing day to day
As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will:
  1. Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs, and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
  2. Keep your area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced, and fully stocked. Ensure that IKEA basic merchandising standards are maintained to provide a positive shopping experience.
  3. Convey passion about IKEA products, actively learn about their features and benefits, and share this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices.
  4. Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduce new products, implement the commercial calendar, and assist with remodels.
  5. Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
  6. Flow products to the final selling location.
  7. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  8. Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
  9. Ensure a smooth returns and exchange process for customers.
