The Retail Store Closing Lead is the visible leader on the sales floor, ensuring a positive customer and associate experience. The role involves engaging with customers and associates, coaching, recognition, and task follow-up, in alignment with Our Burlington's Core Values and sales driving priorities. The position requires working closing shifts on nights and weekends as part of the leadership rotation schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Model exemplary customer service behaviors, providing a great experience to customers and associates with professionalism.
  • Engage with associates, promote open communication, and provide recognition and coaching in the moment.
  • Establish priorities by touching base with each associate.
  • Monitor the front-end experience to ensure a positive first and last impression.
  • Observe and give feedback on checkout speed, line management, and friendliness.
  • Review staffing, lunch/break schedules, and cashier coverage daily.
  • Assign backup cashiers during peak periods to ensure timely processing.
  • Evaluate recovery needs, monitor fitting rooms, selling floors, and other areas.
  • Follow up on workload planner and tasks, ensuring completion and understanding of expectations.
  • Conduct AM/PM store rallies and complete closing communication for the opening Manager on Duty.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
