The Retail Store Closing Lead is the visible leader on the sales floor, ensuring a positive customer and associate experience. They circulate throughout the store, engage with customers and associates, and utilize Burlington's Core Values and sales driving priorities to provide coaching, recognition, and follow-up on tasks. The role supports store leadership by working evening shifts on nights and weekends as part of the leadership rotation schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Model exemplary customer service behaviors, providing a great experience to customers and associates with professionalism.
• Engage associates, promote open communication, recognize achievements, and coach in the moment.
• Coordinate with each associate to establish priorities.
• Monitor the front-end experience to ensure a positive first and last impression.
• Observe and give feedback on checkout speed, line management, and friendliness.
• Review staffing, break schedules, and cashier coverage daily.
• Assign backup cashiers during peak periods to ensure timely processing.
• Evaluate recovery needs, monitor fitting rooms, the sales floor, and other areas, and ensure proper recovery procedures.
• Follow up on workload planner and tasks, ensuring completion and understanding of expectations.
• Conduct AM/PM store rallies.
• Complete closing communication for the opening Manager on Duty.

Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
