Job description

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions. They are also expected to resolve customer concerns promptly, ensure client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain high standards of product quality and store presentation. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service while meeting sales goals.

The selected individual will work at stores within a 10-mile radius of Store #701059, located at 1692 West 5th Ave., Columbus, OH 43212.

This is a part-time position with a starting rate of $13.75/hr.

Job duties include contact with customers, which may involve minors; access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuables. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. A criminal history review is necessary to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship now or in the future
• Ability, with or without accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish
