Trident Seafoods is seeking a Store Clerk to manage inventory, stock shelves, and assist customers in a retail environment in Alaska. The role requires basic English, cash handling, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to accurately conduct cash transactions using American money.
• Read, write and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
• Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
• Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
• Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.
• Itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter and accepts cash or charge card for purchases, gives accurate change.
• Packs customer purchases in bags or cartons.
• Maintains accurate cash balance in till, may count and reconcile till as requested.
