Job summary

Dufry is seeking a Stock Manager for our Duty Free locations at John F. Kennedy Airport, Terminal 6. You will lead stock operations from receiving to floor replenishment, ensuring products are organized, compliant, and ready for customers.

You will manage vendor relations, optimize stock processes, and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency across retail, restaurants, and duty‑free shops. Expect growth opportunities and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of combined education and experience in stock operations, inventory management, supply chain, or retail leadership.
• Experience leading inventory or stock operations teams and/or managing multi-location inventory, supply chain, and vendor relationships in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP, CrunchTime; SAP WMS preferred), supply chain processes, regulatory compliance, and loss prevention practices.

Responsibilities

• Manages stock operations including receiving, inventory control, and merchandise flow to maximize sales opportunities; collaborates with Retail Director of Operations to optimize stock processes and KPIs.
• Manages relationships with multiple vendors to ensure proper stock levels and coordinates operations across retail, restaurants, and duty-free shops.
• Monitors KPIs such as inbound throughput, labor efficiency, and operational metrics; manages returns and develops contingency plans for distribution center operations.
• Develops and implements stock procedures and standards; collaborates with airport leadership on hiring decisions and trains stock team members.
• Ensures compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, and regulatory bodies; maintains records for bonded merchandise and passes background checks for bonded warehouse ops.
• Enforces HACCP and FIFO stock rotation; conducts QA tours and maintains storage area cleanliness and security.
• Analyzes inventory data using SAP, CrunchTime, and other systems; implements cycle counting and maintains perpetual inventory records.
• Coordinates with merchandising and sales teams for promotions, resets, and new product launches; ensures stock allocation and timely replenishment.

You'll lead inventory strategies, improve operational efficiency, and ensure seamless product flow from receiving to the sales floor, helping our stores stay stocked, organized, and customer-ready.

Stock Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Manages all aspects of stock operations including receiving, inventory control, and merchandise flow to maximize sales opportunities; collaborates with Retail Director of Operations to optimize stock processes and achieve operational KPIs within budget parameters
• Manages relationships with multiple vendors to ensure proper stock levels support sales objectives; coordinates operations across retail, restaurants, and duty-free shops while resolving delivery issues, shortages, and quality concerns
• Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) including inbound throughput, labor efficiency, and operational metrics; manages reverse logistics for store and vendor returns while developing contingency plans for distribution center operations
• Develops and implements stock procedures and standards to ensure consistent execution across all shifts; collaborates with airport leadership on hiring decisions while training, coaching, and developing stock team members and administering corrective actions and terminations as needed
• Ensures compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, and other regulatory bodies; maintains accurate records especially for bonded merchandise and passes required government background checks for Customs Bonded Warehouse operations
• Enforces comprehensive food safety protocols including FIFO stock rotation, expiration date monitoring, and HACCP compliance; conducts regular Quality Assurance tours and maintains cleanliness and security of food storage areas
• Analyzes inventory data and stock performance metrics using SAP, CrunchTime, and other management systems; implements cycle counting programs and maintains accurate perpetual inventory records
• Coordinates with merchandising and sales teams to support promotional activities, seasonal resets, and new product launches; ensures proper stock allocation and timely floor replenishment
• Communicates and collaborates with airport management teams to build partnerships and align operational goals while maintaining compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements
• Plans and executes annual physical inventory processes; coordinates with external audit teams and implements corrective actions for inventory discrepancies while maintaining operational continuity

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of combined education and experience in stock operations, inventory management, supply chain, or retail leadership. A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field may count toward the experience requirement.
• Experience leading inventory or stock operations teams and/or managing multi-location inventory, supply chain, and vendor relationships in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP, CrunchTime; SAP WMS preferred), supply chain processes, regulatory compliance, and loss prevention practices.
• Proven ability to analyze inventory performance, drive process improvements, optimize costs, and solve complex operational challenges across retail, restaurant, or duty-free environments.
