Primary Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Development: Provide direction, guidance, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates, to meet sales and service goals. Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings. Observe, coach, and give feedback to enhance associate proficiency and foster a culture of trust and brand loyalty. Support hiring and staffing in partnership with the General Manager. Exercise independent judgment in assessing store associates’ performance, certifications, and competencies. Perform other necessary responsibilities.
- Sales and Service Excellence: Lead the team in delivering memorable customer experiences and ensuring client satisfaction. Implement Office Depot, Inc. sales techniques and training. Foster a sales-driven environment and serve as a role model for exceptional customer service and product expertise.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure accurate and efficient merchandise processing, adhering to procedures, deadlines, and visual standards. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Support loss prevention efforts and assist with performance management through coaching. Contribute to increasing sales and profitability via conversion, AOV, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- External Key Carrier Responsibilities: Maintain safety and security during manager absences. Ensure loss prevention compliance. Perform opening and closing duties, including alarm system management, cash handling, and store balancing. Fulfill responsibilities as an External Key Carrier.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Background in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related fields preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- At least two years in retail management or supervisory roles in a sales-driven, customer-oriented environment; sales experience in services industry is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and ability to utilize technology for information access.
- Effective leadership, coaching, and management skills.
- Strong influencing, coaching, conflict management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-driven with skills in directing others, decision-making, business acumen, collaboration, accountability, and time management.
