Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a safe shopping environment by reducing theft opportunities and delivering outstanding service at the store entrance and throughout the floor.

You will engage with customers and associates with a positive demeanor, follow dress standards, and participate in bag checks and awareness activities to protect store assets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations is preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor surroundings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident greeting and assist as needed.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and store security procedures.
