Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to greet members, provide DMV and travel-related services, and promote AAA memberships. You will handle registrations, payments, and notary duties while delivering high-quality customer service at our locations.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to multitask, and prior DMV system experience. Notary license within a year is preferred, with benefits and a focus on member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School GED or equivalent required.
• Branch Specialist 1 and/or 2 or related experience required.
• Basic computer literacy and data input skills.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and perform basic accounting duties.
• Ability to work quickly and handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
• Prior experience using State DMV licensing system.
• Notary license within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide DMV registration services and maintain knowledge of DMV regulations.
• Prepare TripTiks, maps, and travel-related materials.
• Assist members with hotel and car reservations.
• Promote and sell AAA memberships.
• Process membership payments and upgrades; handle renewals.
• Process insurance payments and renewals.
• Issue passport photos and IDP's.
• Process Travel Money transactions and merchandise sales.
• Balance cash drawer and prepare daily deposits.
• Perform notary services per National Notary Association guidelines.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities based on members' product needs.

Retail Service Specialist Job Summary

Greets members by phone and in person and determines the nature of service required. Either provides requested services or directs them to the appropriate area. In locations providing DMV license services, processes transactions and resolves routine problems. Provides high level of customer service according to Club's Quality Assurance Standards.

Job Duties

• In States offering DMV license services, provides registration services to members; maintains current knowledge of DMV regulations and completes all transactions according to State DMV and Club procedures.
• Prepares TripTiks®; provides maps, tour books and other travel-related materials.
• Assists members with hotel and/or car reservations.
• Promotes and sells AAA memberships.
• Processes membership payments.
• Upgrades basic memberships to those with higher value (Plus, Premier, etc.); offers automatic renewal feature.
• Processes insurance payments and offers automatic renewal.
• Issues passport photos and IDP's.
• Processes Travel Money product transactions; provides merchandise and attraction ticket sales.
• Balances and reconciles cash drawer; prepares daily deposits.
• Performs notary services in accordance with the National Notary Association and Club procedures.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities based on members' product needs and service.

• As required, obtains and maintains valid notary license Notary Public - National Notary Association within 1 Year Preferred
