Job summary

Verano Holdings is seeking a Security Specialist (Retail) to ensure safety for staff, patients, and property at our dispensary locations. You will monitor surveillance, perform regular security patrols, verify patient IDs, and assist with timely compliance audits in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of security experience, a clean background, and the ability to work within state cannabis regulations. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous security/protection experience required
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Interact with employees and patients to maintain a safe environment.
• Verify patient IDs prior to admitting onto the dispensary floor.
• Monitor cash pick-ups and security video cameras.
• Provide exemplary customer service to patients and staff.
• Carry out regular patrols around and inside the property.
• Perform lockup and unlock duties where needed.
• Operate under state regulatory requirements; assist in product delivery as needed.
• Provide operational retail support to leadership for audits and compliance.
