Job summary

Cambridge Security Services is seeking a reliable Security Officer to support safety and security at a retail location in Miami. The role involves patrolling, greeting customers, responding to emergencies, and acting as a visual deterrent to prevent shoplifting.

Ideal candidates are disciplined, observant, and professional, with a commitment to world‑class service. The position requires a Florida security license, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work 32–40 hours weekly on 2nd shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug test.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide world-class service at the store entrance.
• Walk patrols of the storefront exterior and vestibule at least every 15 minutes.
• Inspect exterior for vandalism or damage and report findings to the Manager‑In‑Charge.
• Monitor parking lot and deter suspicious activity.
• Direct vagrants or loiterers away from the property per policy.
• Accompany Front End staff during cash pickups and deposits when asked.
• Escort closing staff to their vehicles when shifts run late.
• Act as a silent witness to shoplifting and avoid detaining individuals.
• Respond to medical or fire emergencies by calling 911 and directing responders.
• Prepare clear incident reports for any incidents.
