Job summary

Cambridge Security Services is seeking an Armed Security Officer to support a premier religious institution in Miami Beach. You will conduct armed foot and vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, respond to emergencies, and enforce access control with a courteous, professional demeanor.

The role requires current Florida security licenses, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks, drug testing, and a mental health assessment. Weekend availability is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to pass a background screening and drug test.
• Ability to pass a mental health assessment.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Florida Class D and G security licenses and a valid Driver's License are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and exterior) to detect security concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access points for constant site awareness.
• Respond to emergencies by sounding alarms or contacting authorities.
• Permit entry by verifying guest, staff, and vendor credentials and monitor entrances/exits.
• Document incidents with detailed reports and maintain daily activity logs.
• Provide high-level customer service to congregants, staff, students, and guests.
