Join our dynamic team as a Sales Associate specializing in jewelry! In this vibrant role, you'll be the shining face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge. Whether providing tailored recommendations for milestones like engagements, birthdays, and anniversaries or managing transactions, you'll play a key part in making every visit memorable and enjoyable. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail expertise in a luxury environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and engage them with friendly, professional communication
• Assist customers in selecting jewelry pieces that match their preferences and needs
• Handle retail sales transactions accurately using Edge POS (Point of Sale) system
• Meet or exceed personal and store sales quotas by effectively communicating the features and benefits of merchandise, extended service plans and financing options
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of diamonds (the "4 C's), precious metals, gemstones, and watch bands to educate customers
• Assist with inventory counts and repair intake paperwork
• Ensure the jewelry display cases are clean, organized, and appealing at all times
• Build a book of loyal customers by following up on past purchases, notifying them of upcoming sales, or inviting them to special trunk shows

Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail sales experience, preferably 1-3 years in jewelry, accessories, or luxury
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail transactions. Edge POS experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and a competitive drive to succeed in a small but growing jewelry store
• Must be comfortable with standing for long periods of time
• Availability to work flexible retail hours. Store is open from 10-5 Tues-Fri, 10-3 Sat
