Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor to champion customer engagement and oversee front of store operations.

You and the store team will focus on increasing sales, improving conversions and service, while actively engaging customers to provide complete solutions. As a supervisor, you will lead weekly sales and merchandising activities, coach staff, and perform Floor Leader duties to deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule based on store needs.
• 1+ year experience selling retail products or services.
• Able to engage with customers and understand their needs.
• Effective communication skills, organization, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Experience coaching a team and/or supervising others.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Ability to lift/move materials (10–50 pounds), climb ladders, stand and walk.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer coaching and support to the store team to drive customer service, sales, and conversion.
• Focus on providing an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, driving conversion, and delivering total solutions to every customer.
• Own weekly sales and merchandising activities.
• Perform Floor Leader role, directing the team to deliver a great customer experience in all areas of the store.
• Champion company initiatives, adapt to change, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Remain available and consistently support an engaging store environment.
• Complete daily merchandising and sales tasks and assist with operational tasks in partnership with the GM.
• Peer coach the team on behaviors to win, with feedback and role playing.
