Staples in New York seeks Retail Sales Supervisors to champion customer engagement and oversee front-of-store operations. You and the team will focus on increasing sales, conversions and service while engaging customers to provide complete solutions.

Hiring immediately; in-person interviews may be scheduled quickly. Roles involve coaching, weekly merchandising, and directing staff to deliver an exceptional store experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience selling retail products or services.
• Ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Experience coaching a team and supervising others.
• Ability to work in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer coaching to drive customer service, sales, and conversion.
• Own weekly sales and merchandising activities.
• Direct the team to deliver a great customer experience in all areas.
• Champion company initiatives, adapt to change or additional duties as assigned.
• Remain available and support an engaging store environment.
• Complete daily merchandising and sales tasks.
• Assist with completing and delegating operational tasks with the GM.
• Peer coach the team on behaviors to win with role playing and feedback.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
