Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the primary contact for customers, stock merchandise, and maintain displays. You will assist shoppers, operate the cash register, and help ensure overall store profitability and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidelines.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, unpack, and store or display items on sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including front end, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies.
