Job summary

Animal Health International, Inc. is seeking a Retail Sales Representative to assist retail customers and sell vaccines, medications and supplies from store or showroom. You will communicate with outside sales, operations and pharmacy, and enter orders into SAP.

Knowledge of animal health products is important and upselling skills are required. The role includes maintaining a retail area, handling cycles counts and banking, with benefits package and competitive hourly pay.

Job Summary

As a Retail Sales Representative (RSR) at Animal Health International, you will assist retail customers and sell animal vaccines, prescription medications, and animal health supplies/merchandise from either the store or showroom. You will communicate with outside salespeople, operations, and pharmacy, and enter key orders into SAP. Knowledge of animal health products is important and upselling skills are required.

Essential Functions

Retail Customer Support

Provide impeccable customer service and sales support via phone or walk-in customers; respond to queries, answer questions, and solve problems promptly. Complete walk-in sales orders from start to finish, accurately key and pull products. Establish positive rapport with new and repeat customers. Process transactions in the order entry system, submit invoices, orders, quotes, returns, etc. Adhere to Accounts Receivables policies and maintain accurate customer records and regulatory filings.

Manage Retail Area

Maintain an inviting retail area by keeping it clean, stocked, and properly displayed. Rotate inventory, display seasonal and promotional products, perform quarterly cycle counts and binning. Work with local management to correct discrepancies. Maintain cash tray, make bank deposits, and generate reports as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (applicable in some locations).
• Associate degree in business and/or animal health, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in animal health/agriculture such as farm or ranch, with cattle, swine, poultry, or equine.
• Proficiency in SAP or related ERP; warehouse experience a plus.

Working Conditions

Physical demands: lifting or carrying occasional items up to 50 pounds; sitting or standing majority of the workday; reading and sight requirements; operating a computer or other office devices; talking and hearing over frequent customer and staff communication; requires ability to understand and exchange accurate information.

Compensation

$14.09 - $18.28 per hour. The final offer amount could exceed this range based on location, experience, and skills.
