Job summary

Maui Ocean Center seeks a Retail Sales & Receiving Aid to join the Maui Ocean Treasures Gift Shop. The role is part-time and full-time with a weekend/holiday/on-call schedule; starting pay is $18 per hour.

The candidate will work on the sales floor, assist in buying, and perform data entry receiving, delivering world-class customer service in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have retail experience, strong people skills, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Some prior retail experience preferred.
• Interest in learning retail merchandise buying and data entry receiving.
• Excellent customer service and on-floor selling skills.
• Reliable, punctual and organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the sales floor and restock as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales area and displays.
• Operate a computer and POS system for sales and data entry.
• Learn and assist with retail merchandising buying.
• Learn and support data entry receiving processes.
• Meet daily sales goals and contribute to team performance.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts.
