Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a frontline team member to be the point of contact for customers, stock and display merchandise, and operate the register. You will unload deliveries, stock shelves, assist shoppers, and help ensure store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Basic cash handling procedures and math skills.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock or display on sales floor.
• Build and maintain displays; rotate stock and face shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, bag merchandise and make change.
• Assist with merchandise ordering using handheld scanners.
