Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the customer-facing point of contact, assist with plan-o-grams, and ensure adequate stock while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, greet customers, operate the cash register, and help maintain clean, welcoming store environments. Strong communication and basic math skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or move directly to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customer and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.

Education
