Job summary

Truvista Communications Inc. is hiring a Retail Sales Representative in Chester, SC to consult with potential customers and match services to their needs, with the goal of creating loyal and profitable customers.

You will handle outbound and warm/cold calls, follow up on leads, and participate in community events to generate sales leads and meet objectives. The role requires in-office work, and compensation includes a commission plan alongside base goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Industry experience and sales experience is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation, as travel to alternate locations – such as other retail offices and special events- may be required to meet business needs.
• Must remain qualified to operate company vehicle, if required. Maintain valid driver’s license, clean driving record.
• Must be able to participate in schedule rotation that may require occasional work during the evening hours and Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and sell new or upgrade services to both new and existing customers.
• Manage sales leads by tracking and following up to close new sales and customer upgrades.
• Work with Truvista sales and operations team members to generate sales leads by attending local events, fairs, and community activities to connect with potential customers and promote company products and services.
• Build rapport within the community through event participation to increase customer engagement and sales leads.
• Review existing customer accounts to identify and close new sales and service upgrades opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the customer and Truvista
• Provide world-class customer service to customers, process orders for service installation, activation, or change in service
• Determine charges for services requested, collect payments, prepare change of address records, and issue discontinuance orders
• Take ownership of customer complaints concerning billing or services rendered
• Required to meet monthly sales objectives as outlined in the commission plan
• Required to participate in schedule rotation that may require occasional work during evening hours and Saturday
• May occasionally be required to operate a company vehicle or personally owned vehicle
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
