Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships, and educating them about device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates work with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling by providing a world-class customer experience, helping customers continue their shopping journey, exploring individual needs, demonstrating technology, and offering personalized solutions beyond basic device and service plans.
  2. Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools in interactions, demonstrate coverage and service benefits, complete training on in-store experience, new skills, systems, and resources, and seek ongoing learning about innovations.
  3. Team Collaboration: Establish relationships with employees across channels, own the customer experience, resolve issues, identify small business leads, and support team initiatives to create an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer advocate with a fun, genuine personality (Required)
  • Competitive drive and success in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders
  • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Hourly Pay: $19.00/hr
During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligibility for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year begins. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. Employees also receive stock grants and other benefits as detailed.
