Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and help maintain store presentation. You will operate the cash register, assist with checkout, and support ordering and restocking as needed.

The role also involves greeting customers, locating merchandise, keeping the sales floor clean, and following company procedures to maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockrooms.
• Greet customers; comply with company policies and procedures.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
