Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, and ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and assist with stocking, bagging, and order checks. Emphasis on teamwork and protecting company assets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication.

• Basic cash handling knowledge.
• Able to operate cash register.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and assist with sidewalk displays.
