Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to welcome customers, stock goods, and operate the checkout. You will help customers locate items, build and restock displays, and maintain clean, organized sales areas.

The role involves unloading trucks, operating the register, and assisting with inventory and merchandising tasks to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
