Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the primary contact for customers, stock and maintain plan-o-grams, and ensure merchandise is available and neatly displayed. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, greet customers, and operate the register at the front end of the store.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling merchandise, and supporting store cleanliness and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Build displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and process purchases.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Follow company policies and procedures and maintain store cleanliness.
• Restock merchandise and assist with sidewalk displays as needed.
