Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a store associate in New Jersey to support daily store operations, stock merchandise, greet customers, and assist with checkout tasks. You will use handheld scanners to manage inventory and help maintain clean, organized aisles and displays.

The role requires reliable communication, basic math and cash-handling abilities, and adherence to safety policies. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and exposure to planograms is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on sales floor and in stock room.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; restock as needed.
• Build and maintain merchandise displays per planograms.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change; assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end, restock, and help set up sidewalk displays when required.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies and procedures.
