Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in setting plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and maintain a well-organized sales floor to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will unload trucks, stock and rotate items, operate the cash register, assist customers, and uphold safety policies in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma preferred; reliable team player with strong communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and itemize total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
