Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to be the main point of contact for customers, assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, build displays, greet customers, operate the cash register, and assist with daily store cleanliness and merchandise handling.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays and ensure proper facing.
• Assist customers in locating items and greet customers.
• Operate cash register and process payments, bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners and receive shipments.
• Keep store clean, stockroom organized, and restrooms maintained.
