Job summary

Davidson Specialty Foods is seeking a Merchandiser to ensure local grocery stores are stocked and displays are refreshed. You will travel daily to stores in Waterbury, Western CT, and surrounding towns, assist with new display setups, and reset existing displays to align with planograms and optimize product visibility.

This full-time role offers paid training, weekly pay, travel reimbursement, mileage reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Willingness to solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Communication skills including speaking clearly and persuasively in various situations.
• Ability to read and interpret written information and comprehend simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to local grocery stores and supermarkets in an assigned territory

• Pack out grocery orders when needed

• Clean, straighten, and organize shelves
• Remain accountable to completion of work by assigned due dates

Position Overview

As a Merchandiser with Davidson Specialty Foods, you will become a key part of ensuring that local grocery stores have stocked shelves and can continue to supply their consumers.

Job Description

• Pay: $19 – $21/hr (Based on relevant experience)
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Territory: Waterbury, CT & Western CT (Watertown, Southbury, Naugatuck, Newtown, Southington, Bristol, Wilton, New Milford, New Fairfield)
• 10% travel to Central CT & Northwest

Schedule

• 5-day work week (flexibility needed for weekends/holidays)
• Flex start: 7:00am – 3:30pm; 8:00am – 4:00pm; 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities
