Job summary

The Salvation Army Waipahu is seeking a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler to join our Retail team. The role involves greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking merchandise, and assisting with donations.

The position requires a High School graduate, good communication, and the ability to operate a POS system. Pay is $16 USD per hour, with part-time scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Able to pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items to be merchandised on the sales floor.
• Sort donations and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and procedures.
• Assist in donation processing and trailer/pod area.
