Job summary

Chico’s FAS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Lead in Modesto to partner with store leadership to supervise the team, set direction, and embody our hospitality-focused culture.

You will drive brand standards, coach associates, and create memorable customer experiences while ensuring operations run smoothly on the sales floor and in the stockroom. You will lead by example, communicate brand priorities, and support scheduling and performance goals, all within a collaborative, customer-centric environment

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• A team player mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Lead on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and using an omni-channel approach.
• Provide coaching to keep the team on track with performance goals.
• Execute operational activities, including cash handling, scheduling, inventory management, and replenishment.
• Be knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Support associate development, provide coaching feedback, and assist with scheduling when needed.
• Share ideas with the store leadership team.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork.
