POSITION: Lead

The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead is the in-store expert of their department. The role focuses on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction to teammates. Key qualities include leading by example, empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team through in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust and respect, contributing to a strong store recognition culture.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls 30-day strategies with guidance, including workforce planning for daily tasks, projects, or events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Upholds merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory presentation.
  • Assists with general supervision of the store per company policies and procedures.
  • Supports training of teammates, onboarding new hires, and cross-training current staff.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the 'why' behind tasks.
  • Leads by example to align responsibilities with organizational goals and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Supports the team across the store as needed and performs other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Depending on the location, relevant state-mandated clearances may be required to supervise minors.
