OVERVIEW:

The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead is the in-store expert of their department. The Lead focuses on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction to teammates. Key qualities include leading by example, empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust, respect, and contribute to a positive store environment.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls 30-days out with guidance, including workforce planning to execute daily tasks, projects, or store events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage, pricing, inventory, and replenishment standards.
  • Assists store leadership with supervision and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Helps train teammates on company procedures, onboarding new hires, and cross-training current staff.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the 'why' behind tasks and processes.
  • Leads by example to support the organization’s vision, helping teammates understand how their roles contribute to the store’s success.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and operational policies; maintains confidentiality.
  • Supports the team actively and performs other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work extended periods standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or lifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short durations.
