Take your first step into leadership as a Retail Sales Lead! You'll earn $24.00 per hour (Base of $20.00 plus bonus of $4.00+ per hour) while developing future leaders. You will model and drive a WOW Customer Experience-focused selling culture, providing leadership and support to achieve or exceed sales and profitability goals, all while embodying the mission and values of Road Runner Sports. In partnership with the store's leadership team, you will lead by example across all performance areas including the WOW Experience, Fit Zone, and KPI Metrics. This position reports directly to the Retail Store Manager.

What you'll do
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be receptive to feedback.
  • Ensure a branded store experience through visual standards and recovery.
  • Support and develop a high-performance team via coaching, training, and recognition.
  • Create a WOW customer experience, including visual standards and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of recognition and accountability to drive sales and KPIs.
  • Analyze business trends using reports to identify opportunities and take action.
  • Ensure execution of omni-channel and loyalty initiatives.
  • Assist in managing team attendance and labor needs.
  • Organize and execute visual merchandising with the management team.
  • Address employee concerns and support inventory and operational routines.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training.
  • Coach selling behaviors supporting the WOW Experience and commitments.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and irregular hours.
  • Conduct Quality Reviews and new hire training.
  • Lead store opening and closing, and manage the sales floor in the absence of the Store Manager.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree and 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • At least 1+ years of relevant leadership in retail preferred.
  • Strong customer service, urgency, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Openness to feedback and adaptability to change.
