Job summary

The Salvation Army Tutt Thrift Store in Colorado Springs is seeking a Sales Associate/Merchandise Handler to deliver friendly customer service and manage donations and inventory. You will greet donors, stock items, and maintain a clean, organized store while following cash-handling procedures and TSA policies.

Flexible part-time shifts, weekend availability, and participation in monthly store meetings are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass background check, which may include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors warmly, provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items and merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock inventory items accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages; provide QA as needed.
• Assist donors with item removal and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed.
