Job summary

The Coast Guard Exchange in Astoria, OR is seeking a Sales Clerk to provide friendly, customer-focused service to military families. Qualifications

• Ability to read and explain product literature.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Preferred: previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Handle cash, checks, and cards; balance till at end of shift.
• Maintain neat stock and display merchandise with clear signage.
• Follow loss prevention policies and safety standards.
• May perform price changes and adjust promotions as needed.
