Job summary

Valu+Pawn in Houston, TX is seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate. Earn $10.00–$14.00 per hour plus unlimited commission, with wage access and employee discounts starting day one.

Help customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries while maintaining a clean, organized store and handling cash responsibly. Great hours, weekly openings, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) auto-enrollment after 6 months, and tuition reimbursement are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable with a variety of merchandise; firearms in FFL locations; certification provided.
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic math and computer skills; experience with retail checkout systems is a plus.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience.
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Complete required training and follow company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
