Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking store teammates in Schaumburg, IL. You will greet customers, help them find products, follow merchandising standards, and promote loyalty programs while upholding safety, confidentiality, and inclusivity across the store.

This entry-level role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and a customer-first approach with opportunities to assist across departments and learn our product lines.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking. Work at heights greater than 4 feet with ladder or lift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment.
• Promote programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Targeted Pay Range: $16.50 - $24.50. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
