Job description

Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Greet customers with a smile and make them feel welcome; offer to assist them.
  2. Be knowledgeable of our products and pricing.
  3. Use sales techniques to drive sales to meet daily goals.
  4. Be exact or highly accurate when handling cash, checks and credit cards.
  5. Verify and balance cash drawer.
  6. Accurately produce reports and other departmental documents as assigned.
  7. Receive, price, and stock merchandise using store procedures and standards.
  8. Keep the store (floors, fixtures) and the merchandise clean and organized.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Demonstrable sales skills and excellent math skills.
  2. Ability to work with money, credit cards, and cash receipts.
  3. Ability to give full attention to what others are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  4. Retail experience is a plus.
