Job summary

Portland Leather Goods is seeking a friendly, energetic Store Associate to greet customers, keep the floor organized, and help shoppers find the perfect bag. You’ll be part of a customer-obsessed team dedicated to a clean, stocked space and an enjoyable shopping experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties* Greet customers in a friendly, authentic, timely manner* Create lasting relationships and fun memories with our customers* Comprehensive understanding and upkeep with the store products* Ensure the store is neat, organized, and well stocked for our customers* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Knowledge of proper payment procedures* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and procedures## QualificationsQualifications* High school diploma or higher* Must be available to work weekends* Customer service/retail experience required* A team player is a must!* Familiarity with POS systems and the ability to learn new systems; Shopify experience is a plus!* Friendly, outgoing personality* Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment to and from backroom and sales floor* Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks* Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise* Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance* Ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store* Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens as well as input information into computer* The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
