Job summary

Cash America Pawn in Roxboro, NC is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to help customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries. You will greet customers, explain terms, and ensure a smooth, friendly shopping experience.

This role offers at least $13–$16 per hour plus commission, flexible weekend schedules, earned wage access after day 2, employee discounts, and a path to benefits. Prior retail and cash-handling familiarity is a plus.

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour + Unlimited Commission

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries


• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience


• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines


• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions


• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays


• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly


• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks


• Communicate clearly with customers and team members


• Complete required training and follow company policies


• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience


• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks


• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays


• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)


• Strong customer service skills and a team‑oriented mindset


• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus


• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas

Commission Information
