Job Summary

Responsible for executing acquisition of 365, renewing, upgrading, cross-selling BJ’s Loyalty Programs. Also responsible for merchandise returns, exchanges, pick-ups, and general customer service inquiries. Provides excellent and efficient member service.

Club Standards:

  • Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining visible signage, and keeping the environment clean and organized.

  • Understand how to access and interpret performance reports for your department.
  • Recognize the impact of consistent execution on business success.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Promote BJ’s value proposition regarding acquisition, retention, perks, and member experience.
  • Effectively pitch membership programs to potential members.
  • Sell membership products with high energy and determination.
  • Drive toward goal achievement based on established benchmarks.
  • Understand all membership options and co-brand credit card details.
  • Provide superior customer service regarding memberships, credit applications, and general inquiries.
  • Follow policies on tax-exempt/resale memberships and monitor renewals and status.
  • Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Assist with BOPIC orders for members.
  • Maintain all club policies and perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Prior front-line/customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Results-driven with success in achieving goals.
  • Basic math skills preferred.
  • Computer proficiency preferred.

Environmental Job Conditions

  • Primarily stationary work on hard surfaces, with occasional bending, handling, and reaching.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds; may require assistance for heavier objects.
  • Indoor environment with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes, loud noises, and cleaning agents.
In accordance with Pay Transparency laws, the starting pay range is from $17.00. Actual salaries depend on various factors including location, education, experience, and qualifications.
