Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate in our retail store. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting shoppers in finding the right products for their needs. Your engaging personality, product knowledge, and sales skills will contribute to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while driving sales and achieving store targets.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, offering assistance and answering any inquiries they may have


• Actively listen to customers' needs and provide product recommendations based on their preferences and requirements


• Engage customers in product demonstrations and explanations, highlighting features and benefits to encourage purchase decisions


• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product range and stay up-to-date with new arrivals and promotions


• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system


• Handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts, and process exchanges or returns.


• Assist with merchandising tasks, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining a tidy and organized store environment


• Ensure products are properly tagged with pricing and promotions


• Build rapport with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business


• Follow up with customers after their purchase to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns


• Collaborate with team members and store management to achieve store targets and objectives


• Assist in inventory management tasks, such as conducting stock counts and restocking inventory


• Participate in product knowledge training sessions to enhance expertise and sales skills


• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products


• Adhere to store security measures and assist in loss prevention efforts to minimize theft and shrinkage


• Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred)


• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively


• Enthusiastic and friendly personality with a customer-centric approach


• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and handling cash


• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends


• Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill set, considering a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity and market data alignment.

The compensation process is designed to be fair and simple so that all Members and managers understand the Company's goals and future career development opportunities for upward mobility.

$22.00 per hour

COMMISSION

This position offers commission-based incentives for sales generated from guest transactions.
